Thanks to the generosity of more than 150 individual donors who came forward during the campaign period, the anonymous $150,000 matching gift pledged in support of this initiative has been secured.
As the University of Tokyo approaches its 150th anniversary in 2027, this achievement stands as a meaningful reflection of the enduring commitment of FUTI’s alumni, students, and supporters to the University’s continued growth. Since its establishment in 2007, FUTI has supported the next generation of researchers and leaders in their global pursuits through scholarships and travel awards, and this campaign’s success will directly strengthen that mission for years to come.
