Atsuhiro Oguri, a 2009 graduate of the University of Tokyo, is a Partnership Specialist at MIGA, the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency of the World Bank Group. He works on strategic partnerships with multilateral development banks and development finance institutions and supports broader global engagement initiatives. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he was based in Nairobi as a development consultant in the agribusiness sector. He began his career at a Japanese news agency, where he worked as a journalist covering social issues, politics, and the economy. While at the University of Tokyo, he also founded and led an NGO that supported African and Japanese communities, with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS-related issues. He later received a master’s degree from Georgetown University.
