東大友の会では、上記の国際機関でご活躍中のアラムナイをお招きして、講演および懇親会を計画しています。
国際環境が急激に変化する今日この頃、日本の国際機関での役割がますます注目されています。一方で、卒業生や在校生の間でも「国際機関で就職やインターンシップを経験したい」という声が高まっています。
しかし、国際機関への日本からの参加者は、中国やインドと比べて依然として少なく、例えば、2022~23年度の国連インターンの参加者は中国から773人、インドから192人に対し、日本からはわずか41名でした。（出典: See Annex, https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4075209?utm_source=chatgpt.com&v=pdf）
現在、国連および世銀などでご活躍中のプレゼンター（2〜3人を予定）には、以下の内容についてお話しいただく予定です。
1）国際機関でのキャリア
2）国際機関が求める応募者の経験やスキル
3）具体的な応募（application）提出の方法参加者の皆様には事前に質問をお伺いする予定ですが、当日も十分な質問時間を設ける予定です。

【講師プロフィール (敬称略)】
講師１。田中 幸夫世界銀行 水グローバルプラクティス 上級水資源専門官。博士（農学）。東京大学教養学部在学中の1999年に初の海外旅行でバングラデシュを訪問し、途上国開発に携わる仕事を志す。同農学部に進学し農村地域における水資源配分に係る研究に従事した後に同大学院農学生命科学研究科修士課程・博士課程において国際河川（ティグリス・ユーフラテス川）における水紛争・水資源モデリングに関する研究に従事。その間、国連環境計画（UNEP）アジア太平洋事務所にて長期インターン。2007年、同博士課程中退、東京大学大学院新領域創成科学研究科国際協力学専攻助教（2011年より講師）。2012年、国際協力機構（JICA）に入構。東京本部にて3年間、チュニジア、アフガニスタン、イラン、ミャンマー、フィリピン等の上水道、洪水対策、水資源管理案件に従事した後に、2015年よりネパール事務所配属となり、ネパールの水資源・防災・震災復興事業に従事。2017年より世界銀行にてナイジェリア、ナイル川流域、イラク、インド、バングラデシュ等の水資源プロジェクトに携わる。過去に業務で携わった途上国は30か国以上。
講師2。平尾眞一
国際連合軍縮部（UNODA）の大量破壊兵器課内の安保理決議1540支援ユニットで政務官補として勤務。
2015年東京大学法学部第II類を卒業後、陸上自衛隊に入隊。長崎県の西部方面普通科連隊にて災害派遣や野外訓練などに従事した後、2019年からバージニア大学公共政策修士課程に留学。留学中はワシントンDCの笹川平和財団USA及びハドソン研究所でインターンし核抑止などの研究に携わる。帰国後は静岡県の第34普通科連隊で防衛警備や災害対処を担当し、中でも原発などのテロ対処、南海トラフ地震対処計画や訓練に注力。その後指揮幕僚課程所属中に外務省のJPO試験に合格し、2024年より現職。ユニットでは大量破壊兵器の非国家主体への不拡散について定めた安保理決議1540の実行に関して加盟国を支援し、特にエクアドルとカンボジアの1540行動計画の作成支援などに従事。また、国連総会第一委員会や核兵器禁止条約締約国会議など多国間会議の運営にも携わる。共訳書に「正しい核戦略とは何か（2022年、勁草書房）」がある。

Dr. Ojima is an internationally renowned scientist and the Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Prof. Ko-Yung Tung is Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, was the Senior Vice President of the World Bank and partner at major international law firms. Ms. Eri Furusawa is an HR&A professional, an urban planner, and supports public- and private-sector clients on issues of equitable governance, inclusive community engagement, and climate change. Prof. Geeta Mehta will chair this event with Dr. Masako Osako facilitating the optional social gathering section. Under the leadership of the former President Gonokami in 2017, the University of Tokyo created the Future Society Initiatives (FSI) and has undertaken a variety of measures, including “the expansion of diversity and inclusiveness, the international visibility of UTokyo's potential, and the fostering of human resources capable of leading GX (green transformation)." Under the leadership of the current President, Prof. Fujii, the University has launched an initiative to establish a “College of Design” (tentative name) as part of its efforts to "create a model university for the 21st Century".
