I accomplished one of my dream in this summer which was studying in United States. In fact, it is not first time studying abroad for me, I have been studying in Japan for over 6 years and always wanted to experience unfamiliar environment with strange peoples in somewhere US. There is no words could express what I had experienced and learned from both of teachers and candidates from other countries.
The course that I attended had two separate parts. Morning class was Non-fiction Creative Writing and afternoon class was Business English which were highly well-structured.
In morning class, we have learned how to deliver our opinions to readers in interesting way by our own words. We often read similar topics with each day`s assignments and discussed about them. However, in 100 percent Asian class with almost 80 percent Chinese classmates, we could have enjoyed discussion in a different way than in typical lectures and seminars at Japanese universities. The morning course was especially focused on how to write personal essays such as statement of purpose for students who want to apply to US colleges and universities. Our teacher, Ms. Katie Manchester, highly educated young teacher, shared us her wisdom and know-how on writing as well as strategy of discussion.

On the other side, Business English class was more practical-oriented course. We have learned about how to write business email, how to leave a message on the phone, how to order a reservation on the phone, how to deliver a top notch presentation for investors, and how to be interviewed by recruiters. Various ways of thinking and different background of students from Czech, Argentina, Italia, Taiwan, China and Japan enriched our class more fruitfully. Veteran teacher Ms.Linda Oroke tried to prepare as confident and robust candidate for our dream jobs and taught every necessary skills for business person.
Out of class, we traveled around Center of San-Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Yosemite National Park. I get inspired from every place that I had been and enjoyed every talk with our classmates and other native speakers.
