Fall semester at Princeton University

Ito Foundation U.S.A. School of Public and International Affairs(以前はWoodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairsとの呼称でしたが、BLM運動の広がりの中でプリンストン大学は2020年に人種差別主義者であったウィルソンの名前を削除する決定をしました)をはじめとする全米屈指の国際政治学の研究・教育機関があるため、留学を決意しました。 Causes of Warの授業では、ThucydidesのHistory of the Peloponnesian WarやKenneth WaltzのMan, the State and Warといった古典中の古典とされる文献から始まり、歴史的事例もふんだんに参照しつつ様々な観点からクラシカルなアプローチで戦争原因を考察する一方、Violent Politicsでは「なぜ政治が暴力的なものになるのか」について、アメリカの最先端のpolitical scienceのアプローチを駆使して考察しています。
