FuFumikoTamura_portraitmiko Tamura, Ph.D. (田村史子)  is the Director of Transfer Pricing at News Corp, a US multinational media company headquartered in New York with global revenues of over $8 billion. She is responsible for leading transfer pricing planning initiatives and ensuring global transfer pricing compliance of the company.  Prior to joining News Corp, she was a Senior Manager in the Global Transfer Pricing Group at Deloitte Tax LLP in New York. Since she started her career as a transfer pricing specialist at Deloitte in September 2006, she has performed transfer pricing analyses for both inbound and outbound multinational corporations in a variety of industries such as pharmaceutical, bio-technology, medical devices, information technology, financial services, apparel, chemicals and consumer products. Her transfer pricing engagement experience includes: planning, compliance, documentation, IRS audit defense, advance pricing agreement (APA), tax provisions, restructuring, intangible valuations, cost sharing agreements, licensing, cost allocation, among others.

Dr. Tamura is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed and registered in New York.

Dr. Tamura received her BA in economics from the University of Tokyo in 1999. She came to the U.S. as a recipient of the “Japan-IMF Fellowship for Advanced Studies,” and received her M.A. and Ph. D. in economics, both from Brown University, in 2001 and 2006, respectively.
